The Crown Prince Foundation

The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) was established in Jordan in 2015 to focus on youth empowerment and promote civic engagement. The foundation invests in programmes and initiatives related to entrepreneurship, technical and vocational, skill development. It also builds capacities in leadership and citizenship to inspire, motivate and develop Jordan's youth.

Programmes

  • Citizenship
    This programme focusses on promoting volunteerism and youth engagement efforts at all levels as well as preserving the Arabic language to re-enforce youth's arab identity. Some of the projects included here are Naua and Nahno.
  • Crown Prince Initiatives
    The foundation also runs other independant initiaitives addressing youth sports education, supporting children and youth with disabilities, strengthen youth's digital skills and encourage creativity and innovation in the digital economy. Inititaives that fall under this programme include Oone million Jordanian coders, The Crown Prince Award for Best Government Service Application, Ana Usharek, Hearing Without Borders and Qusai.
  • Entrepreneurship and employability
    This programme aims to promote and foster youth entrepreneurship by creating opportunities for digital and technical learning and strengthening Jordan's innovation system, through programme like Techworks, which brings together young people, field experts and ideas. The foundation also funds technical universities such as Al Hussein technical university to train youth in technical disciplines, provide practical applications and non-traditional courses focussing on work and life skills.
  • Leadership
    This programme focuses on promoting the values of leadership, developing life, personal, leadership, and social skills in young people. One of the main projects under this component, the Youth Excellence Fund (YEF) , provides exceptional students internship opportunities with high-quality global professional experience and hands-on training that they can transfer back to Jordan. Other projects included are the Al-Hussein Fellowship Programme.
