Aflamuna

Established as a cooperative under the name of Beirut DC in 1999 by a group of Lebanese filmmakers and cultural organizers, AFLAMUNA became a nonprofit organisation in 2006. The organisation works to harness the power of independent Arab cinema to elevate the most pressing social, political and cultural movements, through progammes and initiatives. AFLAMUNA also creates resources, events and virtual and physical spaces that bring together filmmakers, communities and civil society to pave the way for collaboration in the cinematic space.
